PETE STEINKOPF

Producer, Engineer, Musician

As a founding member of The Bouncing Souls, I’ve had the opportunity to play music with my best friends for over 25 years. Over that time, I’ve worked with so many amazing and talented producers, engineers, and musicians. I believe that every project is unique and there is no one approach to making a record. I look forward to each recording on its own merits and potential. I currently record out of two studios in Asbury Park, NJ – Lakehouse Studios and Little Eden.

BIOGRAPHY

As a founding member of The Bouncing Souls, I’ve had the opportunity to play music with my best friends for over 25 years. Over that time, I’ve worked with so many amazing and talented producers, engineers, and musicians. I took those experiences and my love for music and built my own humble studio, Little Eden, in Asbury Park, New Jersey. In that basement studio, we’ve made hundreds of recordings. All different kinds of bands and music came through, coming away from each experience with something learned or realized that became something new to offer and share. I love the whole process of taking on each project with my experience, equipment, knowledge, and positivity…working with each band or artist’s style, personality, and budget and co-creating recordings that surpass the feel and quality and value of other smaller studios.

After making dozens of records at Little Eden, I was given the opportunity of bigger projects and budgets to take my practice to my friends over at Lakehouse Recording Studios (across town, still in our beloved Asbury Park) where the possibilities become limitless in a state-of-the-art, custom-designed, and insanely well-equipped studio. It is now possible to transcend the limitations of a home environment without losing the feel and integrity of my process and results.

I believe that every project is unique and there is no one approach to making a record and I look forward to each recording on its own merits and potential.
